… zumindest der erste Schritt dorthin.
Ich bin zufällig auf ein Projekt gestoßen, dass mich sehr an eine Folge von “The Big Bang Theory” erinnert hat.
Es handelt sich dabei um die Steuerung einer gewöhnlichen Bürolampe mit Hilfe eines XMPP Servers und einem Google G1.
Nette Idee! Ich bin mir sicher, da wird in naher Zukunft noch mehr auf uns zukommen.
Steuerung mit dem G1
Ok, after using the HTC Hero for almost 2-weeks now, I finally know what’s missing in the Hero and know for sure what I miss most of the iPhone. In one simple word – media. Music, movies and of coz, apps. Syncing media with iTunes is really very well thought out and I don’t see any company can stand up against it – well, for 2009/2010 at least. Before the HTC Hero with it’s removable battery, MicroSD card – seems everyone was bitching why Apple couldn’t just give us that? Here’s why: (warning: long post)
Accessing photos or media on the phone via the MicroSD card (Class 2, 16Gb) – it’s almost snail like. Music playback is not as bad – you’ll still notice a slight lag. On the iPhone, it’s stored on solid state memory which provide faster access, hence reducing load time giving your machine a speedier performance.
Fellow Hero users are saying that getting a Class 6, 8Gb MicroSD will improve it’s performance with a nite and day difference. I’ve yet to try that for myself and would think so as well. Less memory to read, faster read speed (Class 6) – would definitely translates to better performance.
Now, having removable media cards are great. But then again, unless you’re storing every damn song you have in your music library, it’s really kinda hard to fill-up for an average user who uses his phone mainly as a – phone. Sure, what’s a phone without music, videos and photos these days. But definitely not everything you’ve got?! That’s just madness. So, having solid state memory chip pwns removable media card – any day.
iTunes. That’s the killer. Syncing media is just a couple of clicks away. While on the Hero, you gotta copy your media files as you would onto a portable hardisk or thumbdrive. Drag and drop, right click delete unwanted files. Though not life threatening difficult – but iTunes works great in this department. Yeah, yeah, yeah … it’s not fair to compare a seasoned app with what the Hero has to offer. Yada yada yada. Am not comparing the apps – am highlighting the process.
Apps. Being an iPhone user since 2007 – I’ve got myself quite a bit of apps from the Apps Store. One that I missed most – WunderRadio which allows online streaming of the most popular stations around the world. I listen to Hong Kong radio during office hour – so it’s kinda hard not having that luxury anymore. I tried searching for an app on Android Market which will play my fav stations – none available. If you’re reading this and you know of one – please let me know.
So are you saying you hate the HTC Hero now? Of coz not! As mentioned before, the Social Network part of HTC Hero trumps the iPhone. Being connected out-of-the-box with Flickr, FaceBook, Twitter is just unparalleled. If you have a group of friends who connects socially – HTC Hero rocks!
Tethering. Tried tethering (using your phone’s data connection to surf the net on a laptop) the other day – and it’s lightning fast. My friend was on Maxis and the HSDPA speed recorded 2.2Mb. YouTube videos and websites load instantly. Not sure bout the 3GS and tethering here with Maxis – is it enabled?
The form factor. Between the HTC Hero and iPhone, I prefer the Hero. It just fits in your hand better than the iPhone – and that coming from someone who has a fairly big palm. So, there are pros and cons between the Hero and 3Gs – but I can’t say which is better than the other. To me, both are equally strong and hence, it’s really kinda hard to choose or recommend between one and the other.
So, what’s the solution? Get ‘em both. Weekdays – the 3Gs for all your online streaming and media needs. Weekends and off days, HTC Hero all the way. That, would be the perfect match made in gadget heaven. With Android 1.6 a.k.a Donut released to developers – brace yourself for some pretty cool things happening in the Android platform. Though new, HTC Hero has very big potential for some very big surprises.

Atendiendo a las quejas del buen Dark heme aqui para dar cuenta de la flojera que me ha invadido, jajajaja la verdad es que la planeacion de un posible viaje, con los deberes caseros y matrimoniales me tienen muy atareado, para completar el circulo vicioso, me he estado cultivando en el siniestro arte de “movilizar” el blog, es decir crear una version alterna de tu blog para que cuando se acceda desde un dispositivo movil, este cargue unicamente los post, casi en version de texto simple, aunque si tu dispositivo lo permite, puedas ver imagenes y/o videos.
Una de las desventajas de WordPress.com sobre su version org, es que al no tener un host propio; no tenemos acceso a instalar plugins o complementos para lograr los efectos deseados, en mi caso me hubiese encantado montar el plug-in Wptouch, el cualdependiendo del navegador con el que se accesa a la red, muestra una version “light” ideal para dispositivos moviles como el iphone, o equipos con Opera movil, otra opcion similar es la de Mobilpress la cual hace lo mismo pero con diferentes Skins.

Solo tienes que sustituir lo que esta en negritas por el feed de tu blog y listo, la desventaja de esta solucion es que no puedes poner en automatico la version por lo que tendras que tener un link en la entrada invitando a visitar la version mobile de tu blog.
Desafortunadamente no cuento con el pago para modificar el css del blog (en realidad si se puede modificar lo que no se puede es salvar los cambios) pero he ahi un par de opciones para Movilizar tu blog.
Yo me decici por la de google, pues aunque no se puede personalizar como la de intersquash, si muestra imagenes, y el post completo. El enlace esta justo debajo de Cosas importantes y si visitas el blod desde un dispositivo movil, no olvides agregarnos.

Welcome to our newest Monday feature — Android Ecosystem! We’ll actually be covering one mobile tech area each weekday, as well as Saturdays, going forward. Each Monday is a quick news hit of all things Android to start us off. Tune in tomorrow to see what we’re covering on Tuesdays. Having said that, let’s get a little mobile Google action going!
Some folks are betting heavily on Google Android for the future. And why not — more handset makers are adopting Android these days, the Android Market continues to add apps and many consumers prefer the more open approach offered by Google over some competitors. So it’s safe to say that Android has a future. Mobile broadband does too, so is it any coincidence that we might see the first phone supporting 3G and 4G running Android? Sprint appears to be giving it serious consideration, but of course Android will need to support the new network stacks. There’s plenty of time to make that happen because WiMAX isn’t yet a nationwide service. Of course, a dual-band phone could easily roll back to Sprint’s EVDO Rev. A network for data as needed.
And what do we need 3G — or 4G, for that matter — on Android phones to do? Broadcast live video, that’s what! Ustream now offers their Broadcasting application in the Android Market and it’s a more full-featured than the comparable iPhone client. With it, you not only have the ability to broadcast live video from your phone, but you can cut to a different source and then back again. I’m waiting for the first newscast to go all Ustream with this.
For those Android-lovers looking for larger, tablet style device, keep your eyes out for the Rockchip Android MID on Friday. This concept device appears poised to take center stage at a RAmos Digital news event in China at the end of this week. So far, the 5-inch thin slate looks to be a portable powerhouse for web surfing and media playback. Cross your fingers and watch for potential news later this week.
This thing arrived on Saturday. Initially I wanted to get the HTC official updater installed and then start loading on apps and stuff. I downloaded the updater and Sync Manager apps off their website onto my mac and in advance, had taken my Dell work laptop home to use it to install on…there is, surprise surprise, no mac installer. HTC don’t show much consideration for non-PC people but you come to expect that and try yo work around it.
The Sync app installed on the Dell easily enough (the HTC website says you need to install that on first) and so I then connected the Hero via usb cable and tried to open the exe file I had copied from the mac. Nothing except an error message happened. Drat. Perhaps the specs of the Dell are not up the “official” requirements or perhaps it does not use USB 2, I don’t know as I am not an expert on things like that…I can’t even remember what the error message was, something about a “run” error and something to do with a driver? That was a bummer anyway as I really want (need?) to get this thing updated and sort out any reported “lag” concerns.
I will need to ask a PC owning chum, with a more up to date specced PC, to try the updater for me and see if that does the trick. I was a bit down after this as I didn’t really want to try out much until the updater had been stuck on the Hero, I guess I was concerned that I might suffer a sub-par Android experience. What the heck I thought and ploughed on regardless.
So, I have used it now for just over a day and so far so good. It is the same weight as the iPhone but not as tall or wide and a bit thicker, depth wise. It has some kind of teflon coating which makes wiping off dirt from the back and screen very easy plus an added benefit is that it is less slippery. The chin is…errr….a chin, a bit Jimmy Hill like but in my view not obtrusive. Some things I like
Obviously there will be more that I spot that is likeable in the next few days. As for some initial thoughts about some of the stuff I am not so keen on.
I think, to date, that is my biggest gripe with the Hero. HTC have stuck on this very nice interface which is easy to move through through touch yet most of the software I have loaded on does not take advantage of this method of navigation, relying on buttons. In addition, the RSS apps I tried were not nearly as customisable as their iPhone counterparts. Say what you like about apple and their domineering approach to the o/s but this stance ensures a smooth and very uniform user experience whereby in apps, if you do something with a gesture you know the end result. On Android, the 3rd party developers just seem happy to get something out and they all seem to be doing different things with regard to how apps act. You can’t even say that it is still at an early stage because the Android sdk or whatever it is called has been out there for as long as the iPhone sdk, as has their respective App Stores yet the Android eco-system seems a bit immature in comparison.
However it is very early doors and this is not a review of the HTC Hero as you can’t do that in just over 24 hours playing with it, just some initial thoughts. I don’t mean to sound negative about it as there is a lot to like and a lot that is better than the Apple offering but if you asked me right now I would say it is more likely I will be upgrading to the 3GS at the end of this year than carrying on with the Hero.
Here is the link to the Android Checkstyle set of rules that am grouping together. In going though all the checkstyle checks I noticed some rules that were not enable in the normal checkstyle checks file that should be enabled for Android development. The added checks are have a beginning commment so that you can examine them yourself to see if I am right in including them, they are added right after the header module declaration.

Music Industry wants royalties for the 30 sec preview in iTunes. They probably won’t get it, since the interweb community has lashed out against it.
O que parece mesmo revolucionário é a tela inicial do MOTOBLUR, que agrupa as comunicações em widgets, facilitando muito o gerenciamento de diversas ferramentas. Um deles mostra suas mensagens, incluindo SMS, e-mail, mensagens instantâneas e mensagens de redes sociais. Outro mostra o que está acontecendo, mostrando atualizações de seus contatos em tempo real. Temos ainda o calendário, integrado com o Google Calendar, seu status social, permitindo atualizar várias redes sociais em que estiver cadastrado e os feeds de notícias, para visualizar os últimos acontecimentos.
A Engadget conseguiu uma unidade do Motorola CLIQ em suas mãos, e estas foram algumas impressões do smartphone:
- Apesar do processador MSM7201a, este é o aparelho Android mais rápido que eles já testaram.
- O aparelho “senta” bem na mão – “um sólido bloco de metal”.
- A câmera de 5 megapixels é maravilhosa, principalmente seu foco automático.
- O MOTOBLUR (Android modificado) tem suporte para até 5 home screens, ao contrário de 3 no Android normal.
- O teclado é maravilhoso.
O aparelho conta com câmera de 5MP, teclado deslizante, teclado QWERTY, Wi-Fi, 3G. A estimativa é que o aparelho seja comercializado no 4º trimestre de 2009.
Um dos pontos interessantes para quem utiliza muitas redes sociais é a interface chamada de Motoblur, tendo os recursos habituais de aparelhos com Android além de itens adicionais.
A vantagem principal do Motoblur é que ele funciona como uma espécie de “agregador de redes”, fazendo login em todas suas redes sociais simultaneamente, contas de e-mail, Twitter, Facebook, e exibe tudo na tela inicial do aparelho. Seria quase como um agregador de feeds, mas voltado para serviços de redes sociais e e-mail’s.
Quanto ao design ele bem agradável. Suas curvaturas e cores contribuem para isso.

O Donut tem melhor suporte a diferentes tamanhos de telas e redes celulares com tecnologia CDMA, melhorias na interface de captura de imagem do celular, permitindo tirar fotos mais rápido e apagar múltiplos arquivos na galeria simultaneamente e uma nova caixa de buscas em todo o sistema.

O novo SDK 1.6 requer a nova versão do Android Development Tools (ADT)
A fabricante de telefonia HTC anunciou nesta quinta-feira (17) o lançamento no Brasil do aparelho Magic, equipado com o sistema operacional Android, do Google. A novidade chega oficialmente ao Brasil na segunda semana de outubro e o preço ainda não foi revelado.
Segundo a HTC, o valor do aparelho vai depender do plano que o consumidor fechar com a operadora de telefonia móvel – pelo fato de se tratar de um smartphone e fornecer acesso à internet, o plano deve conter pacote de dados.
A HTC foi a primeira fabricante a disponibilizar, em todo o mundo, um aparelho com o Android: há cerca de ano, a empresa lançou por US$ 179 nos Estados Unidos o modelo G1, equipado com essa plataforma. No início do ano, em um evento em Barcelona, a companhia apresentou o HTC Magic, o segundo modelo com Android.
Compatível com todas as operadoras brasileiras, segundo o fabricante, o Magic tem tela sensível ao toque com 3,2 polegadas (contra 3,5 polegadas do iPhone), câmera de 3,2 megapixels, GPS, capacidade de transmissão de dados de até 7,2 Mbps (megabits por segundo), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth e sincronização com contas de e-mail, entre outros serviços.

O Android tem código aberto, gratuito e permite às companhias telefônicas economizar em licenças de software. Ele pode ser adotado por diferentes fabricantes de telefones celulares – na semana passada, por exemplo, a Motorola apresentou o modelo Cliq, baseado nessa mesma plataforma.
Apresentado em novembro de 2007, o Android faz parte de uma parceria entre o Google e outras dezenas de empresas chamada Open Handset Alliance. Segundo o Google, essa plataforma ajudará a indústria de celulares a fazer com que a internet funcione em telefones da mesma forma como funciona em computadores – isso contribuiria para o aumento de tráfego nos sites da empresa.

Android 1.6, AKA Donut, adds some significant new features like CDMA support in the telephony stack. I have to admit I thought Android could already fully support CDMA, which is the technology behind the Sprint (s s) and Verizon (s vzn) networks in the U. S., but apparently that was not the case.
Donut enables a new Quick Search box to the interface, and also adds a new camera interface among other things. While this is the version of 1.6 for developers Donut should be available for consumers in a month or so. Carriers willing.
Właśnie wgrałem do telefonu najnowszy ROM. Oto pierwsze wrażenia:
Mam na myśli ekran główny. Już nie skacze podczas przesuwania. Wcześniej zdażało się zacięcie bez sensownego powodu.
Tak jest! Funkcja znana z najnowszego iPhone OS. Bardzo fajne i przydatne gdy chcemy wyostrzyć fragment, który nie znajduje się wśrodku kadru.
Moje największe rozczarowanie. Dlaczego w Przeglądarce, Albumach i Poczcie jest multitouch a w Mapach (gdzie jest to oczywiście najpotrzebniejsze) nie ma? Oto jest pytanie!
I to wszystko co zauważyłem jak dotąd. Czy to dużo czy mało? Na pewno spodziewałem się więcej. Przyspieszenie działania systemu było najbardziej palące i się udało. Teraz czekam na dwie rzeczy – Multitouch w Google Maps oraz lepszą integracje z usługą Picasa. To ostatnie być może uda się za sprawą instalacji jakiegoś zewnętrznego programu.
It seems like just yesterday that Google introduced Android, the open source OS for the handheld market, and so it came as quite a surprise to read that Android has over 10,000 apps available in the Android App store. In actual fact, Google Android became available to the general public for commercial use on October 28, 2008, less then 1 year ago, which makes 10,000 seem remarkable.
I did some small investigative work, and if you can judge the success of a handheld OS by the number of apps available in their store, it seems like Apple still has the lead followed by Google as follows:
Apple – 70,000 apps
Google – 10,000 apps
RIM – 2,000 apps
Palm Pre – 40 apps
It seems that the reason the Palm Pre has so few apps available is because Palm has limited who has access to it’s webOS SDK. By comparison, Apple after the same length of time in the market had about 500 apps available.
Google is certainly a formidable force in the IT space, and will continue their dominance in the handheld space as manufacturers adopt the Android OS in increasing number. In many respects it seems that Google’s dominance across the web and IT space, and the consumer reliance on a single brand, will position them in the similar anti-competitive spot that Microsoft found themselves in not that long ago.

The Motorola CLIQ
The latest buzz on Android has been the release of Motorola’s new devices, specifically the Motorola CLIQ. This phone seems to be the talk of the town these days and reasonably so. Motorola has been suffering tremendously in the past few years of mobile sales as they get left in the dust for smartphones from RIM’s Blackberry devices and of course, the notorious iPhone. The CLIQ is the first phone to bring Motorola into the Android world and they have definitely stepped up their customization of the platform.
First, let’s take a look at the specs on the CLIQ
So the first selling point for me is the QWERTY keyboard. It looks to me that Motorola has taken a step up over the T-Mobile G1 and put the keyboard in the phone with a much slimmer architecture. As we are used to seeing, the processor and RAM specs aren’t that great, but I still maintain faith that someone out there is going to put Android onto a much more powerful machine at a decent price. Also, many people are loving the idea of the 3.5mm headphone jack. This is much better than the lengthy adapter shipped with HTC’s devices.
So what has everyone talking about this phone? Motorola has introduced to the Android system an interface called MOTOBLUR. This interface is used to keep all your contacts together along with their Twitter, MySpace and Facebook status updates. This interface is similar to the HTC Sense interface used in the Hero. The look of it is very impressive, but one question remains. If this does really appeal to the younger market of smartphones, will it continue to stick using a platform that so far has only drawn in a more tech-savvy user base? I think it has a lot of potential, and if the hardware can keep up with MOTOBLUR, then this has a real chance at breaking through and possibly revolutionizing the Android system.
The Motorola CLIQ will start pre-sales on October 19 and more than likely be released in November. The phone will be available exclusively from T-Mobile with a black or white trim of your choice. All that’s left to say is good luck, Motorola.
The LG first handset to run on the Android OS is already a fact. Today LG have announced the GW620 – a touchscreen handset with a side-sliding full QWERTY keyboard. The company obviously didn’t see any need for publishing the specs of the device, save for the size of the touchscreen.
We are looking at a 3-inch unit here that should start selling in the last quarter of the year and that’s about as much as we can get from LG.
Rumor has it though that the LG GW620 will also sport a 5 megapixel camera, GPS and HVGA (480 x 320 pixels) resolution for the display. Additionally the appearance of the handset on the Wi-Fi Alliance web page suggests that it will also pack WLAN.

Unfortunately LG decided to spare us the details and leave us guessing for at least a couple of more months, focusing most of the press release on their Windows Mobile products. LG obviously don’t want to rock the boat of their Microsoft relationship but then again why did they even bother announcing the LG GW620 in the first place.
Maybe they should have just quietly shipped it to the market to make sure that no one at the Microsoft HQ loses their sleep.
雖然我們公司以Android最為我們主要的技術之一，但是我一直等待到HTC出了HERO，且搭配上網吃到飽專案之後，才下手買了第一隻個人用的Android手機。除了測試我們公司自己的軟體之外，也看看宏達電以人為中心的概念與我們公司的方向有何不同。還沒有玩幾天快要被打趴的Moto也出了一支很社群的Android手機。整體來看，大家都認同了手機應該是人脈管理中心或是社群訊息中心的概念，手機通訊錄變成了一個社群互動的一個中心。
在手機上，一夥人不約而同的朝著一個方向前進，不是講手機備份，就是說社群，或是軟體商店。在這餅越做越大的情況下，大家到底心理有何盤算？手機營運商除了原本的語音以及上網服務外，當然是做軟體商店是最有優勢的。不過其幾天聽說聯發科也要進來參一角，倒是還滿符合山寨機的市場需求的。另外，當然手機製造商除了強調觸控、或是硬體之外，紛紛開始利用Android來客製使用者介面了。手機製造商終於可以擺脫軟體的束縛，推出自己的軟體與硬體。未來會不會像蘋果與諾基亞一樣再推出軟體商店，是未來可以觀察的。
至於像我們一樣的服務供應商，或是軟體開發商，應該也是可以趁勢切出一塊餅來吧。感覺起來有一堆國外的大型服務商來搶食，也有硬體廠商做掉一部分的功能。不過我想真正的困難在於，當我們推動備份服務或是行動社群時，大部分的時候很難獲得認同。當大家開始認知到趨勢時，其實都是受到大廠的影響。然後又再問，那我們該如何因應大廠的競爭。所以，當看到未來的機會，很多人是抱持著懷疑的態度，當一陣熱潮時，又要問如何競爭，那我們的切入點應該在哪時候呢？

Repasemos entonces que pasó esta semana,
Como siempre sucede cuando hacen una de sus keynotes, la gente de Apple se llevó la mayor presencia en Internet esta semana. De yapa, reapareció Steve, y ahí si que explotó la red. En concreto, el evento titulado “It’s Only Rock and Roll” (aunque después apareció Norah Jones que con el R&R no tiene mucho que ver…), tuvo que ver con (obviamente), la música, y en el mismo se presentó la nueva versión de iTunes (9.0), que tiene algunas características interesantes, iPhone OS 3.1, y la renovación de la línea iPod, con nuevos precios y nuevos modelos de iPod nano (con cámara y radio FM) y iPod touch (con el hardware del iPhone 3GS). Lo que mucha gente se preguntó luego del keynote, es porque no incluyeron una cámara en el nuevo iPod touch como se rumoreó hasta último momento, la respuesta llegó de la mano del propio Steve Jobs en una entrevista que brindó a NYT (en el último link). Una más de Apple: esta semana liberaron parte del código de Grand Central Dispatch, la tecnología introducida en Snow Leopard que facilita el desarrollo de aplicaciones paralelizables. Link.

Un interesante análisis en Maestros de Web sobre los posibles cambios en Facebook luego de la adquisición de FriendFeed. En particular la posibilidad de que, de a poco, Feisbuc adopte algunas de las ideas de FriendFeed y se vuelva “más publico”. Link.
Científicos de Stanford se encuentran trabajando en una cámara de fotos open source, que podría revolucionar la fotografía, dándole a los programadores la posibilidad de cambiar y agregar características a las cámaras con actualizaciones de software. De esta forma, las cámaras ya no estarían limitadas por el software que traen preinstalado. Link.
Motorola anunció que adoptará Android en sus próximos dispositivos móviles (eso si, con su propia interfaz gráfica – “Motoblur”), y enfocarse en la actividad social del usuario. El primer teléfono en contar con esta tecnología será el Dext, un bicho de esos con pantalla táctil y teclado qwerty deslizable. Link.

Dell mostró una vista lateral de la Adamo XPS, una notebook de 9.99mm de altura (más fina que un iPhone, por ejemplo). Aún no se sabe absolutamente nada mas sobre esta máquina (pero yo ya quiero una). Link.
BMW mostró su último prototipo de auto híbrido, el “Vision Efficient Dynamics Concept Car”, que acelera de 0 a 100 en 4.8 segundos, y tiene una velocidad máxima de 250 kmph. Ojala la mitad de los autos del futuro tengan esta pinta (y ojala pueda comprarme alguno). Link.
Un adolescente de 18 años de Nepal ha creado paneles solares que usan cabello como conductor. Construir estos paneles costaría 4 veces menos que fabricar los actuales, y el mantenimiento sería también mucho más sencillo. Link.
Ya se están realizando pruebas del HAL (Hybrid Assistive Limb) en las calles de Tokio. El exoesqueleto servirá para asistir a aquellos con problemas de movilidad. Fun Fact: la empresa que los creó se llama “Cyberdine”. Link.
El pasado 9 de septiembre, se lanzó la versión de Monopoly en City Streets de Google. Esta es la versión más grande del juego jamás creada. Los jugadores podrán comprar cualquier calle del mundo, pudiendo construir en las mismas casas, estadios, edificios y hoteles. Link.

Para los que se quejan de la velocidad de su conexión a Internet: en Sud África se comprobó que una paloma mensajera llevando un pendrive de 4gb es más rápido que el proveedor Telkom ADSL en una distancia de 100 km. ¿Cuanto más rápido? En alrededor de dos horas, la paloma realizó el viaje y se copiaron los datos a la computadora destino. Para entonces, la transferencia por ADSL llevaba 4%. Link.
Un vídeo que demuestra la capacidad del sistema de reconocimiento facial de PlayStation Eye. Reconoce el sexo del usuario, la posición de la cara e incluso sigue los movimientos de usuario. Se supone que esta tecnología se incluirá en la PlayStation 3 en un futuro cercano. Link.
Microsoft, en el “what the fuck?” de la semana, lanzó “Codeplex”, una fundación sin fines de lucro con el objetivo de involucrar a más desarrolladores con el software open source. Tal y como dice el articulo de Slashdot, es difícil tomarse una cosa así enserio luego de todos los ataques a Linux por parte de Microsoft, pero en fin… Link.

El pasado 11 de septiembre se cumplieron 8 años del terrible ataque a las torres gemelas. Dejando de lado la controversia, es justo conmemorar a todas las personas que perdieron la vida asistiendo a los afectados, así como recordar a las víctimas que fallecieron por el mero hecho de estar en el lugar equivocado, en el momento equivocado. Life recuerda los hechos con una galería fotográfica sobre la construcción de las Torres Gemelas y otra de los actos realizados antes de ayer en el “Ground Zero”. Link y Link.

En Turquía, rescatan a un grupo de chicas de un Gran Hermano falso. 9 chicas se encontraban atrapadas en una casa en Beykoz (Estambul), luego de haber sido engañadas para formar parte de un reality show, y fueron rescatadas por un grupo de gendarmería que fue contactado por los padres de una de las “participantes” de tan solo 16 años. Los vídeos en los que las chicas aparecían desnudas se vendían en Internet. Link.
Se lanzó al mercado el Fleshlight Motion, la solución definitiva para los hombres que se toman la masturbación realmente enserio. Ver para creer. Link.
¡Por Dios Bernardo! Pasemos a las noticias de Cine y TV:
Resurge la idea de realizar la versión con actores de carne y hueso de Akira, obra maestra de Katsuhiro Otomo. Todo indicaba que el proyecto estaba muerto (y en mi opinión, no era nada malo), pero al parecer la gente de la Warner Bros ha continuado con el proyecto y se encuentra esperando el nuevo guión, de los mismos escritores de Children of Men y Iron Man, entre otras. Hace unas semanas les contaba la sinopsis de Rambo V, que al parecer ahora, no tratará de soldados super poderosos, sino que en realidad John estará a la caza de un lobo mezcla con humano, resultado de un experimento de manipulación de ADN. Esta historia será una adaptación de la novela “Hunter”, de James Byron Huggins, cuyos derechos posee Stallone. Link.
Aparecieron algunas imágenes de “Titan Maximum”, la nueva serie de animación stop motion de algunos de los encargados de Robot Chicken: Matthew Senreich, Seth Green y Tom Root. Esta serie será un tributo a las series de robots gigantes, como Voltron. Link.

Una selección de 10 películas de animación japonesa que son superiores a cualquiera de las de Disney, si les gusta la animación tradicional denle una oportunidad a cualquiera de las 10, que seguramente les haga ver las otras 9. Link.

Astroboy: el paso a las 3 dimensiones de este, que viene siendo como el Pinocho de la animación japonesa. A cargo del mismo equipo que realizó la adaptación 3d de las tortugas ninjas y se encuentra trabajando en Gatchaman. Link.
Como el vídeo "Lazy" de X-PRESS 2, pero teniendo una vida real a la par. Perfecto.
Surrogates: una de ciencia ficción con Bruce Willis (en el papel de… Bruce Willis, como siempre). Esta basada en un comic que nos plantea un futuro en el que la gente tiene un duplicado artificial, que controla mentalmente, y es enviado al mundo real a realizar todas las actividades que ellos hacían. A esta altura, ya casi nadie sale de sus casas, y todos viven su vida a través de su duplicado. Es entonces cuando algunas personas comienzan a morir inexplicablemente al morir sus duplicados, y Bruce debe salir al mundo real por primera vez en años a intentar encontrar una explicación a esto. Leslie, My Name is Evil: nos contará la historia de Perry, uno de los miembros del jurado del juicio a Manson (a finales de los 60), quien se sentirá fascinado por todo lo que representa Leslie Van Houten, una de las fanáticas que seguían a Manson, quien es todo lo contrario de la prometida de Perry. Celda 211: Un drama carcelario centrado en un enfrentamiento entre reclusos, ovacionado en el último festival de Venecia. Link.

The Princess and the Frog: Disney vuelve a la animación tradicional con la adaptación de esta fabula escrita y dirigida por la misma gente que trabajó en grandes clásicos de antaño como “La Sirenita” o “Aladdin”. Ideal usar a un pequeniño de la familia como excusa para verla. Link.

The new Motorola CLIQ
With the recent announcement of Motorola’s new MOTOBLUR-running phones, Engadget have posted a handy hardware comparison chart for the handful of handsets currently handling Android.
The spec chart reads similarly to a netbook comparison sheet - the hardware between the comparators is almost identical. That 528MHz Qualcomm chip is quickly becoming the standard for Android.
But for how much longer? The internet is awash with people (including myself) who believe that Android handsets are a bit underpowered and in need of a boost. I wonder if battery life is a contributory factor given the platform’s ability to multitask?
I want my Snap(py)dragon.

Çocukluğumu html ile web sitesi yaparak geçirdiğim aklıma geldikçe, içimdeki isteksizlik miktarında artış olsa da, bu sefer gözlerimi kıstım ve böyle bir çalışma yapmaya karar verdim. Bu platformu oluşturmaktaki amacım, ilerleyen zamanlarda sayısında oldukça artış gözleyeceğimiz Android Programcılarının bir arada bulunabileceği ve birbirleri ile iletişim ve etkileşim saplayabilecekleri bir zemin oluşturabilmek.
